As an artist I've been a very creative person my whole life but also quite technical. I've always had a passion for capturing beautiful moments that I see, what inspired me to become a photographer was the fact that I could challenge myself and use both aspects of my personality by being extremely creative when taking photographs and getting really technical when working in post-production. Also to me photography offered the quality, love for life and freedom that I was looking for! I absolutely love working with people having a very outgoing and bubbly personality. 

 

I studied Commercial Photography at Stellenbosch Academy of Design & Photography. I began working as a photographer building my portfolio while studying, after graduating I went deeper into the fashion industry and I am absolutely loving it. I am currently a freelance Fashion & Lifestyle Photographer based in Cape Town.

 

Fashion and Lifestyle photography are definitely my favourite genres to shoot because of the versatility that comes with them. I love getting the opportunity to work with lots of different people in studio as well as on location. There's just something special to photographs that are taken in different environments, having to adapt and deal with different unexpected situations and finding a way to use them to your advantage. I absolutely love traveling and exploring the beautiful places, and using those places to inspire me to create beautiful photographs. I'd definitely say that my photography is very much an expression of who I am. I am inspired by colour, I'm fascinated by the amazing colours God created for us to find all around us. I love to use them as a theme for my photography.
